Seat Swap! Finally!!

 


    Hot Wheels' original seat was designed so that all types of riders can use the bike. However, that isn't the most comfortable option for people who are proportional to the bike. The new seat much more closely resembles a typical seat for a cruiser or chopper motorcycle. 


    After much careful measuring, planning, and shopping for the best option for the seat, it was time to make a move and remove!



    And now, the big reveal! 



    It's much better than the old one! This seat was done over a longer period of time than typical projects for this bike, so the photos are not as in-depth as is typical of this blog. Apologies!

     Hot Wheels had an amazing time at Thunder on the Strip 2025 in Geneva-on-the-Lake!! Bike Week 2024 was uneventful, there was even a little snow on the ground, and the Bike Show was cancelled, or so we thought. 2025 showed up BIG TIME! Hot Wheels entered in the "Reasons to Ride" bike show, and was an absolute head turner!       Hot Wheels has a special ability to appeal to everyone in a crowd- from moms and kids and grandparents to even the most hardcore bikers! Sometimes, life doesn't need to be so serious. Evidently, the judges agreed! Hot Wheels took home the prize! This could not have been a better weekend for Hot Wheels, even though we forgot the final coat of turtle wax before the show!      Hot Wheels goes to Bike Week! Hot Wheels attended its first ever, and then second, Bike Week at Thunder on the Strip in Geneva-on-the-Lake, OH, in 2021 and 2022. It was fun to enter into the bike show, put on by Reasons to Ride Ohio.     Also pictured is the 2021 Vulcan 650s Cafe, 2004 Honda Rebel 250, and 2000's era El Diablo Mini Chopper. If anyone has more information on the gold bike, feel free to comment below!

High Score! New Official Top Speed!

   Hot Wheels was ready for some major action after being out of commission for its most recent repairs. It's running better than ever! The performance improved so much, that Hot Wheels was able to reach a higher speed than ever before, topping out at about 55 mph this time! Too bad there was a cop, because it might have even had a little further to go! For a show that exciting, Hot Wheels deserved a VIP parking spot at its destination!
